Located in the Kentucky suburbs of Louisville, the Worthington Fire Department provides primary fire and emergency medical services to residents of North East Louisville. This area includes 6.5 miles of Interstate 71 and 5 miles of Interstate 265, all types of residential, commercial and industrial complexes in approximately 17 square miles.
The Worthington Fire Department is comprised of volunteer and career members who respond to over 1,800 fire and medical emergencies annually. These calls include fires, automobile accidents, hazardous materials spills, weather related emergencies and mutual aid services to neighboring fire departments. The Worthington Fire Department also responds with Louisville Metro EMS to provide emergency medical care prior to ambulance arrival.
Our Headquarters are located at 4700 Murphy Lane, and our Station 2 is located at 8412 Brownsboro Road.
